Biodigester Gas Processing
The United States Department of Agriculture has recently provided for funds for the purpose of building biodigesters for agriculture facilities which would include dairy farms, packing houses, hog facilities, and other related agricultural facilities. Raw biogas consists generally of carbon dioxide, oxygen, nitrogen, methane, hydrogen sulfied and sometimes other related trace gas components depending on the source of the biogas. In order for the methane in the biogas to be utilized as a fuel, the biogas requires that processing occur. The condition of the biogas as it is initially received is that it is wet and may contain from 30% to 40% carbon dioxide as well as other contaminants that must be removed by processing. The Tucker Gas Processing Equipment Company Biodigester Gas Processing Unit pictured below in diagram format allows the removal of the carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide even in the presence of oxygen so that the gas can be made available as a fuel. Recent pending legislation in the U. S. Congress is likely to require green gas emissions reporting including carbon dioxide in much of basic agriculture. Our equipment can allow you to meet those requirements to comply with the law, to obtain carbon credits, and to produce usable fuel from you biogas system. In addition, we have the capacity if necessary to provide transportation systems for the fuel after it has been processed. Sometimes biomethane is utilized for electricity although the value of the gas for electricity is considerably less than the value of the gas when used as fuel for facilities or as CNG for converted vehicles. Our equipment will allow you to capture, recover and treat the gas to the extent that it may be used as vehicular fuel or as fuel for boilers heating and other facilities. |
